Squad Structure

The Corpus Squad Structure:

Each squad has six key roles - Squad Lead, Radio Operator, Medic, Autorifleman, Marksman and Anti-Armour. Without these, a squad is ineffective in combat, so it is very important you play your role well - as without it you are going to have a much harder time. Ultimately, as long as you work as a team, you will manage just fine.

Below is a brief description of each role, this should give you a quick idea of what each role does! To submit your role choices just head over to the #roles channel in our Discord.

Squad Lead - is in charge of leading the squad to complete their objectives.

Radio Operator - communicates with High Command, other squads and additional assets. Relays orders to the Squad Lead and acts as a Fireteam Leader when needed.

JTAC - Communicates with all air assets, whether it be calling in an airstrike or simply a resupply mission.

Medic - Perhaps the most crucial role in the Squad. Their job is to keep you alive, or get you back up when knocked unconscious. Medics are highly trained individuals who you should give your full attention to when near. If the command of your squad is knocked unconscious or dead - they are the most important person around - you listen to every word they say.

Autorifleman - Suppressive fire. These people carry a large Machine gun and give you some crucial firepower. This is an extremely fun and effective role for anyone to try, just make sure you take enough mag boxes.

Marksman - Another essential role, these guys can really get you out of a bad situation from a distance. They can shoot a target stuck up in a tower and allow your squad to push to the objective, they can also sit at a distance and provide covering, precise fire.

Anti-Armour - See a tank? Shout out and protect your AT. These people will carry a rocket launcher and be your saviour whenever you encounter armoured targets, just make sure to not stand behind them.

Anti-Air - A less common role, but very helpful when they are there. Your Anti-Air soldiers will carry an AA launcher to tackle any enemy air assets such as attack helicopters or a passing jet, they can really save your squad when there isn't any friendly air support.

Grenadier - Like the JTAC, these people will carry a weapon with an underslung grenade launcher. They will provide support by firing smokes or explosives into the distance - especially useful when approaching a fortified location.
